Explore the first ever Eco resort in Danum Valley!

Go nature exploring, do thrilling adventure trekking, you have arrived in Danum Valley.Blessed with a startling diversity of tropical flora and fauna, come alive with this vast Eden like basin nestling in the south west of Lahad Datu. Catch a glimpse of the Sumatran rhino, friendly orang utans, little gibbons, rare mousedeer and the beautiful clouded leopard.

You will be surprised to know that the Danum Valley prides itself in being one of the first eco resorts in Sabah known as the Borneo Rainforest Lodge. Go jungle trekking, river rafting, bird watching, night jungle tours and excursions. Hit the restaurant bar and have some of the choicest drinks, you could also unwind in some of the comfortable chalets overlooking the Danum river. Exciting?

A tip to remember: Be sure to bring a jumper. Yes you are in the tropics but the jungle can get surprisingly cool at night, partly because the sunlight rarely reaches the jungle floor through the canopy.

How do I get there? If you’re in Lahad Datu, it will take you around 2 hours to reach Danum Valley by road.
