Hottest hotel bars in KL

The bustling metropolis, Kuala Lumpur is one of South East Asia’s most exciting cities. World-famous for landmarks like the towering Petronas Towers, KL offers an inimitable mix of the old and new. This city which today boasts of a gleaming, futuristic skyline is also littered with grand colonial edifices and vibrant street markets, both of which have been in existence for centuries.
As a growing center of international business and trade, Kuala Lumpur is also known for its pulsating nightlife scene which features vivacious night-clubs, pubs, karaoke clubs, live-music venues and much more. Much of the city’s nightlife action is concentrated on its main Golden Triangle area, home to opulent malls, tall office towers and sumptuous hotels that host achingly hip and happening bars. Pacific Regency Hotel Apartments
The swish Luna bar is located on the 34th floor of the Pacific Regency Hotel. This open to the sky bar extends over two levels and offers jaw-dropping 360̊ views of the KL skyline including the city’s famed landmarks like the Petronas Towers and the KL Tower (Menara KL). The bar menu at Luna offers a good selection of cocktails and wines and spirits along with various bite-sized eats. The lower level of the bar features a pool surrounded by day-beds and makes for a perfect locale for lounging with an icy cocktail.
Traders Hotel
Recently named "Best Malaysian Bar" by Malaysia Tatler magazine, the SkyBar locted atop Kuala Lumpur’s Traders Hotel is considered to be a top 10 attraction of the city. This bar which is located on the 33rd floor of the Traders hotel is an enclosed space which features a pool and a live DJ who spins a variety of tunes all night long. The bar offers good food and great cocktails along with fabulous views of the city’s main landmarks. Happy Hour at the Skybar extends from 11am to 9pm.
Westin Hotel
The Qba   is a Latin themed bar and restaurant located with the Westin Hotel on Bukit Bintang. The décor of the bar tries to recreate the Cuban capital of Havana adorned as it is with colorful murals, wrought-iron trimmings, angel statues and blood red curtains. Qba is spread over two floors and hosts a steak restaurant (grill) on its upper level along with a lively bar on its lower level.
Sultan Lounge Mandarin Oriental Hotel
The Sultan lounge is an opulent enclave located within the luxurious Mandarin Oriental hotel in Kuala Lumpur. Designed by the team responsible for the creating famous nightspots like the Buddha Bar in New York and Nikki Beach in Miami, Sultan lounge, is designed to mimic the look of Moorish sultan’s extravagant tent in the desert. The bar is accordingly is strewn with plump, colorful cushions and features booths draped in swathes of white fabric and an imposing water feature as a centerpiece.
Hilton Kuala Lumpur Studio
Zeta which is part of the Hilton Kuala Lumpur Studio complex is currently one of the city’s hippest nightspots. This bar which sports a sleek minimalistic décor dominated by much cool, black marble is popular with visiting DJs. Big names like José Padilla,( Café del Mar) and Stephane Pompougnac(Hotel Costes) have both spun at Zeta in recent times. So if you are looking to let your hair down at a heaving nightspot during your stay in KL, make sure you include Zeta in your list.
